Switchgrass with compact shorter statue of 3', upright, dense and not-flopping, sturdy in wind and heavy snow.

Dark rosy red flowers on the top of the plant, greenish leaves with golden fall color.

Very adaptable - can handle heat, humidity, black walnut and is drought tolerant.

Suitable for smaller gardens and spaces.

Size : 3' tall x 1.5-2' wide clumps

Blooming time : late summer to fall/winter

USDA zones : 4 to 9

Culture : sun, half sun, adaptable to various soil conditions, average soil, loam, clay soil. Ideal pH of the soil - neutral to slightly acidic.

Moisture Needs : medium-moist, medium (average), medium-dry, tolerates droughts.

    Everything I get from US Perennials is great, but their grasses are incredible. Really healthy plant, exactly as described and settling in well.
