Aloysia citriodora - LEMON VERBENA

South American woody perennial with incredible lemony fragrance and flavor.

Used for teas, in cooking, potpouri, cosmetics and perfumes.

Hardy in zones 8-10, but often grown as annual or container plant (can be easily overwintered in light cool/cold garage).

Blooming time: late summer, tiny, not valuable white flowers 
Size: 2-4' tall x 2 wide clumps (5-6' tall where hardy perennial)
USDA zones: 8 to 10
Culture: sun, half shade, average soil, clay loam soil, loam, or better in container culture, where not hardy. Plants grown in full sun has more oils and grow more upright. In half shade plants usually sprawl some.
