Long-lived and tough perennial, slowly matures to very large and wide clumps (keep some space for it)
Light blue flowers in the spring, medium green leaves turn gold in autumn.
Reminds of a "course & robust" Amsonia hubrichtii.

Origin: We got saplings from our friend Will Forster, but seeds of this plant were originally collected in Hot Springs, Arkansas by Dr. Frank Emert. Will Forster received a plant from Dr. Emert who resided in Vincennes, Indiana. Plants thrived in both places, and Will Forster suggested that this valuable plant worth propagating and shared some samplings for further propagation. Amsonia ciliata is native to AL, AR, FL, GA, MO, NC, OK, SC, TX, where is often found on drianeds on sandy or drained soils

Pot Size: square 3.5" x 4" deep perennial pot
Plant Combinations: Combine with bigger to large perennials and small/medium shrubs, like Echinacea, Heliopsis, Helianthus, Penstemon digitalis cultivars, Rudbeckia or Silphium; also goes well with medium or taller grasses (Schizachyrium, Panicum, Muhlenbergia, Sporobolus)
