This clump forming, adaptable perennial from the legume family has an ornamental leaf texture and creamy yellow/green-white flowers.

It attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and other small birds. Unfortunately, it is palatable to mammals, so it can be difficult to establish where deer, rabbits, or other herbivores are overpopulated. It makes an excellent cut flower.

Looks great in flower beds, pollinator gardens, hummingbird gardens, naturalistic plantings, and prairies.
