Smaller clumping Epimedium with darker spring foliage in the spring and bicolor lavender-pink + white flowers with longer spurs. Flowers appear right above the leaves and flowering stems prolong some later on.

Culture: Best in half shade, light shade, dappled shade, and other partially shaded locations. Prefers medium, medium-dry, to medium-moist conditions and adapts to a range of soils, including clay-loam, loam, and rocky ground. Best performance is in neutral to slightly acidic soil enriched with organic matter such as decaying leaves, compost, or humus. In hotter climates, it benefits from additional shade.
Moisture Needs: Medium, medium-dry, to medium-moist. Established plants are drought tolerant, but are a bit more sensitive than the other selections.
Origin: Japan. The species is native to woodlands in Japan, southern Manchuria, and northern Korea.
