Kalimeris sp. (from Burnham's) - JAPANESE ASTER "BURNHAM'S"
Unknown Kalimeris, possibly a descendant of 'Daisy Mae' - white flowers, 2' tall and long-lived.
Our friends Lisa and Dan Burnham shared the seeds of this unknown kalimeris as a trouble free, durable perennial that is persisting in their garden for 2 decades (clay soil, Bloomington, IN, zone 6). We tried several cultivar and most of them failed, so we will try to go with this one.
Tolerant to heat, humidity and drought.

Culture: average soil, clay, medium to dry soil in full sun or half shade. Some drainage is useful

Excellent as cut flower, magnet for insects, butterflies. Sunny flower beds, naturalistic gardens, prairie style garden, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, monarch and butterfly gardens
