Lysimachia clethroides - GOOSENECK LOOSESTRIFE

Again, one of the plants that somehow ended up in our nursery (mislabeled bareroot plants...), and now what to do with them?

Anyways, this is very vigorous, spreading and ground covering plant for larger areas.

Spreads by underground rhizomes and forms large colonies. In dry lighter shade is less aggressive.

Best use is for covering larger areas and letting it spread into monocultural groundcover.

White flowers attract a lot of bees, moths and butterflies.

Size: 2-3' tall and spreading wide into large colony

Culture: full sun to light shade, average soils, clay, waterlogged soils
Moisture Needs: average (medium), medium-dry, wet

Deer/Rabbit Resistant: yes / yes. Can be browsed by the deer if overpopulated and hungry
Attracts Butterflies or Pollinators: various bees, butterflies, moths and other insects
Attracts Hummingbirds: no
Pot Size: square 3.5" x 4" deep perennial pot 
Plant combinations: the best use as a single monoculture plant is in large patches or large groups, for erosion control, large gardens - in moist areas, edges of the woodland garden etc.
