Product Description
Improved cultivar of Penstemon digitalis, with very dark purple-black leaves and dark pink flowers.
Regular, sturdy and dense mounds, flowers attract hummingbirds and some bees.
36"- 40" tall x 28"-30" wide clumps. Flowers as many other penstemons in late spring-early summer, but the foliage stays dark for the whole season (many other cultivars turn greener in summer).
Full sun, half shade (better in sun), hardy and adaptable - average soil, clayish soil, gritty to sandy soils, with average moisture. Tolerates heat, humidity and some droughts.
Hardy in zones 3 to 8.
Patented cultivar under PP29603 CPBR6262, unlicensed propagation is prohibited.
Great plant for perennial flower bed, goes well with many common perennials and grasses - for example Echinacea (coneflower), Hemerocalllis (daylily), Iris (bearded iris or siberian), Nepeta,....So it fits perfectly to public spaces and private gardens.

Penstemon 'Midnight Masquerade' - BEARDTONGUE 'MIDNIGHT MASQUERADE'
All the plants I ordered arrived in excellent condition, but this one in particular was thriving -- 10 inches tall. I look forward to seeing them in my garden!
