Baptisia australis - BLUE WILD INDIGO

Product Code: BAP-AUS-X
Shipping: Calculated at Checkout
$8.99

A very showy plant when in bloom! Blue wild indigo is a long-lived and drought tolerant perennial that grows in robust and dense clumps. What's more, it is easy to grow and adaptable to many soils, and the mid-blue color goes well with many other flower colors; the seedpods are ornamental too.

Spikes of deep blue/purple pea-shaped flowers appear in late spring. The plants form bushy, branched clumps. Deer and rabbit resistant plant.

This is an easy, low maintenance perennial that's perfect for sunny borders, cottage gardens, prairies, meadows, native plant gardens and public spaces. Effective in naturalized settings. Best as a specimen or in small groups.

Great combos can be achieved with Amsonia, Coreopsis, Penstemon, Echinacea, grasses, Peonies and Roses.

  • Better Than Expected 5

After a few attempts of trying to buy plants on line, I pretty much gave up. I wanted this particular plant which I could not find in any local nurseries. I was pleasantly surprised to find it online extremely inexpensive. It was smaller than I would have liked, but for what I paid, it was better than expected.

Shipments from this company are packed better than I have ever seen. This was a very healthy young plant with vigorous plant growth and a nice healthy set of roots. Waited to review so I could review. With that said, A+!
