Boltonias are great plants for adding color to the garden in the fall. Related to Asters, they are covered with 3/4" aster-like white flowers. The green-gray leaves are ornamental too. This clumping perennial slowly spreads by rhizomes (not aggressively).

It attracts many insects and monarch butterflies, makes a very good cut flower, and is a deer-resistant plant.
