Good companions can be Amsonia, Actaea (Cimicifuga), Aruncus, Astilbe, Brunnera, ferns, Heuchera, Hemerocallis, Hosta, Helleborus, Iris cristata, I. tectorum, Iris sibirica, Polygonatum, spring bulbs, other Carex, Hakonechloa and many others.
