Clinopodium arkansanum - LIMESTONE CALAMINT
This neat, ornamental, and nicely minty-aromatic native perennial is largely unknown to the horticulture sphere....
Clinopodium arkansanum reminds of thyme or a low-growing oregano, as it forms a very dense, ground-covering mat of evergreen leaves that slowly spreads wide, with slender airy flowering stems that bear pink-purple to white flowers in mid through late summer.
Great showy, smaller perennial for the edges of drier flower beds, rock gardens, drier open woodlands, native plant areas, pollinator gardens or butterfly gardens.
Other names are wild savory, Ozark calamint, and Arkansas mint.

Limestone Calamint
This plant is so great. It is perfect for the foot of the border, to cover the feet of taller native perennials. The fine leaves look very elegant. It is already showing green in March for the second year .
