Drought tolerant, late flowering wildflower with ground covering character, that flowers when most of woodland plants are finished blooming.
Usually reaches 1.5-2' of height and width (sometimes up to 3'), quite large basal leaves, small lavender-whitish flowers remind of chicory flowers. Blooms at the end of summer in August to September.
Half sun, half shade, dappled shade, average soils with medium moisture to dry, adaptable to many soil types, including clay. Very drought tolerant, it will grow in dry shade.

Best for half shaded to shaded woodland garden, wildflower gardens, pollinator garden, where it can naturalize - selfseed (in optimal condition can seed up to aggressively). It can be used as a groundcover or as a filler.
