'JoJo' features double vibrant pink flowers and manageable compact garden size of 4' and great vigor.

'JoJo' is completely sterile (no seeding in the garden).

Fluffy, round to cone shaped clusters large, maroon stems, deep green leaves. 

Unfortunately double flowers are nectar and pollen free and don't support pollinators, but still support insects that feed on the foliage.

But for full benefits of joe pye weed, go for the the species or other selections.

Blooming time: summer-late summer
Size: 3-4' tall by 3-4' wide
USDA zones: 4 to 8
Culture: full sun, partial sun, tolerant to many soil types (sandy, loam, wet loam, clay, seeping gravel). It tolerates heat, humidity and to certain point summer droughts, so it is good garden plants.
Moisture Needs: medium (average) to moist/wet
Origin: E. fistulosum 'JoJo' was found as a chance seedling at Kind Earth Growers in Pennsylvania, is a sterile form of the native wildflower E. fistulosum. Plant is vegetatively (clonally) propagated and patented under PP34.665. The species of E. fistulosum is native to Eastern North America, see the BONAP distribution map.
Deer/rabbit resistant: yes / yes
Attracts Butterflies or Pollinators: no. Host plant of caterpillars and larvae of several moths and beetles
Attracts Hummingbirds: no 
Pot Size: square 3.5" x 4" deep perennial pot

Combinations: Great garden plant, but not a plant for pollinator gardens. Rain gardens, erosion control, low maintenance plantings, wet soil garden. Good combination in flower bed with medium moist soil : Agastache, Actaea simplex, Aster novae-angliae, Aster novi-belgii, Chelone, Helenium, Helianthus, Heliopsis helianthoides, Iris lousiana, Iris virginica var. shrevei, Phlox paniculata, Phlox maculata, Physostegia, Rudbeckia, Silphium perfoliatum, Veronicastrum virginicum and grasses like Andropogon gerardii, Panicum virgatum. With non-native perennials try these : Anemone hupehensis, Calamagrostis brachytricha, robust cultivars of Hemerocallis, Iris sibirica, Persicaria amplexiacaulis.
