Hesperaloe parviflora - REDFLOWER FALSE YUCCA
As the common name suggests, Hesperaloe parviflora is a yucca-like evergreen perennial succulent. It offers an exotic, desert look, evergreen leaves, pink-red or red flowers in the summer, and is a true hummingbird magnet. It is a deer and rabbit resistant plant.
Tolerates drought, heat, air pollution, erosion and doesn't require any watering. It is surprisingly very hardy in zone 5; the only musts are sharply-drained soil and full sun. Good plant for extreme urban conditions, desert gardens, rock gardens, path margins or as a large container plant.
Also called hummingbird yucca or red yucca.
