One of the whitest cultivars, ivory white flowers with touch of yellow in throat, and a bit ruffled, flowers in May.
2-3' tall x 1.5-2' wide clumps of nice grassy leaves, that stay ornamental for the whole season.
Full sun, half shade, grows in average soils with average moisture (medium), but likes moisture and can be planted in moist to wet soil too. Grows well in heavier soils and clay.
Hardy in zones 3 to 8. Iris sibirica is native to Europe and Asia, but it is well behaved perennial here in USA.
Deer and rabbit resistant. Black walnut tolerant plant.
Very good plant for flower borders, cottage gardens, rain gardens, cut flower gardens, water bodies banks, pond margins and erosion control.
