Old-fashioned, but alien-looking lily with doubled pale orange flowers, heavily spotted.

Easy to grow.

Good cut flower (2 weeks in the vase).

Blooming time: summer (July)
Size: 4-6' tall by 1-2' wide
USDA zones: 3/4 to 9, heat zones 1-7
Culture: full sun, partial sun, average soils, somewhat drained soil - adaptable, but avoid waterlogged soil. It tolerates heat and humidity
Moisture Needs: medium (average), medium-moist, medium-dry
Origin: Japan, Korea, China
Deer/rabbit resistant: yes / yes
Attracts Butterflies or Pollinators: some bees
Attracts Hummingbirds: yes

Goes well with many common perennials (native and non-native), for example : Agastache, Actaea, Aster, Chelone, Helenium, Helianthus, Heliopsis helianthoides, Iris, Phlox paniculata, Phlox maculata, Physostegia, Rudbeckia, Silphium, Veronicastrum virginicum and grasses like Andropogon gerardii, Panicum virgatum. With non-native perennials try these : Anemone hupehensis, Calamagrostis brachytricha, robust cultivars of Hemerocallis, Iris sibirica, Persicaria amplexiacaulis.
