Compact and sterile cultivar of Catmint with larger than usual blue flowers above grayish-green foliage.

This older cultivar was a great standard Nepeta.

Drought tolerant once established.

Size: 10-12" tall x 15-18" wide
USDA Zones: 3/4 to 10
Culture: full sun, half sun, but best in full sun. Average soils to well-drained soils, chalk, loam, sandy soils, and clayish soil. Very adaptable. Avoid wet and waterlogged soils.
Moisture Needs: average (medium) to medium-dry
Origin: selected in Faasen nurseries in Netherlands, as a cross of Nepeta racemosa and Nepeta nepetella
Deer/Rabbit Resistant: yes / yes
Attracts Butterflies or Pollinators: yes / yes
Attracts Hummingbirds: no (some sources say yes)
Pot Size: square 3.5" x 4" deep
Plant Combinations: Can be combined with many common perennials with similar needs (full sun and average to drier soils). Good companions can be Achillea, summer blooming Alliums, Artemisia, Asclepias tuberosa, shorter Asters, Calamintha, Coreopsis, Echinacea, Euphorbia, Gaillardia, Gaura, Oenothera, Origanum, Penstemons, shorter Rudbeckia, shorter Solidago, Stokesia laevis, Yucca and many others.

It looks good with anything that has a slightly rougher structure (bigger leaves, flowers, grassy leaves, etc) and with many shorter or medium-sized grasses.
