Oenothera rosea (Gaura epilobia) - PINK EVENING PRIMROSE (ROSE OF MEXICO)
Southwestern native wildflower, with small pink flowers (under 0.5" in diameter), but long flowering season. Best for dry and leaner soils.
Usually 1-1.5' tall, slender looking plants with small bright pink flowers from May till October. This is more or less desert plant, that loves lots of sunshine and drier, leaner soils. It will adapt to other conditions, but may look disproportional, because it will get bigger, form bigger leaves or also bloom less.
Native to Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas, hardy in zones 5/6 to 9, often it is shorter-lived plants that selfseeds. Can be heavy seeder, so use it wisely and preferably on the dry soils.
For dry, drained and poor soils in full sun. Can be added as a small plant, that will fill gaps.
