Smaller and cute tender perennial, often used as annual - continuously flowers from June to September with pendulous papery pink-white-green flowers (can be used in dried mixes).
Forms small mounds of trailing stems, semi-evergreen sub-shrub. Aromatic, but not suitable for cooking.
For zones 6-9 (but isn't always reliably hardy in zone 6). Very heat and drought tolerant.

Plant combinations: In warmer zones can be used as perennial, in cooler as annual. Best in Mediterranean style gardens, coastal gardens, containers, baskets, rock gardens, crevice gardens. Good companions can be shorter drought tolerant perennials like : Amorpha, Callirhoe, shorter Coreopsis, Dalea, narrow-leaved hybrids of Echinacea, Monarda bradburiana, short Rudbeckia, Yucca or grasses like shorter Festuca, Koeleria, shorter selections of Schizachyrium scoparium, Sporobolus 'Tara', Muhlenbergia.
