Pest free, drought tolerant perennial with ornamental leaves and smaller crimson flowers. Better for areas with cooler summers.

Clumps of hairy, silver and strawberry-like leaves, usually 1.5-2' tall x 1-1.5' wide. Thin stem carry cup-shaped flowers in June/July, sporadically even later in the season.

Full sun is the best, tolerates half shade. Average, preferably drained soil with average moisture (medium) to medium-dry. Sandy, rocky, gravelly soil,...Established plants are drought tolerant.

Pollinator friendly (honeybees and potentially some butterflies). Deer and rabbit resistant.

Suitable for zones 5 to 7.

Originates in Himalaya mountains, so it performs better in cooler climates and zone 7 is limiting.

Fur sunny garden, drained soils or rock garden.
