Easy to grow, trouble free shade perennial with glossy leaves and orchid-like flowers.
Valuable for very late blooming season in the shade garden (inc. deep shade).

Deer and rabbit resistant plant - best to be planted close to the path, so you can admire it's beauty.

Rather late to emerge in the spring.

Size : 30-36" tall x 18-24" wide, moderately to slowly spreading into wider clumps
USDA zones : 6 to 9, heat and humidity tolerant
Culture : half sun (with enough moisture), half shade and light or dappled shade. Tolerates full shade. Average soil with average moisture (medium) - amended with some compost, leaf compost and mulch with organic debris (leaves, shredded leaves or little bit of bark mulch). Adaptable (slightly acidic, neutral or slightly alkaline, average). Avoid waterlogged and wet clay soil.
