Product Description
Shorter or dwarf form of false aster. Var. latisquama has larger flowers than the more widely-spread Boltonia asteroides; it is also native to the more central USA, along with only a handful of states in the Northeast/New England area.
This upright perennial with pinkish flowers is adaptable to many soils, including clay, and is tolerant of humidity and shorter-term drought. It has no known serious problems with disease or insects, though it may be susceptible to powdery mildew (reduce risk by planting in a spot with plenty of sun and air circulation)
It's a great plant for a flower bed, pollinator garden, naturalistic planting, prairie planting, cottage garden or cut flower garden.
Also called false chamomile.

Loving native Boltonia "nana"
I used to grow Boltonia "Pink Beauty" and always loved it. Haven't been able to find the plant in years, so I ordered 1 of these to see what I thought. Still in it's pot (haven't gotten to plant it yet), it is blooming and filling out nicely!!! So, I came back and ordered several. Like that it will remain decided shorter than the other cultivars. his will be a lovely native filler plant in the middle of the border. Also like that it seems to bloom earlier than "Pink Beuty" did. Excited to plant this in drifts in my borders.
