'Lavender Taffeta' = hybrid of several native monarda species (including superior M. bradburiana).
Dense ground covering clumps, with high percentage of flower cover and excellent garden size.
Shiny, ornamental and mildew resistant foliage & dark lavender purple flowers. Moderately fast growing.
Due to the heritage of the M. bradburiana genes, this is tough landscaping plant with great size, for private and public planting!
Great tolerance to heat and humidity and very pollinator friendly (bees, butterflies, hummingbirds).
Blooming Time: summer (mid-later summer)
Size: 22-26' tall x 28-30' wide clumps
USDA Zones: 4 to 8
Culture: full sun, half shade; adaptable to most of the soil types with the exception of waterlogged soil.
